How do you know if an item is worth the price? Here are my tips:

How many times are you gonna wear it?

Be honest with yourself - if a pair of boots cost you £200 but you'll wear it everyday to work, even if it lasts just a season, that comes to £200 divided by approximately 100 days - £2 per time worn - BARGAIN!

If on the other hand you buy a dress for £50 but you'll end up wearing it twice in a season, well that's cost you more than the boots, even if the price tag looked much smaller ;)

Unique piece?

If it's something you haven't seen around, then it might be worth the price. However if it's something basic, such as a black cardigan, black shoes, white trousers - then I'd suggest you go around a little before you buy, you might find that the shop next door sells the same thing for cheaper ;)

Sale, sale, sale

Be patient, if you don't need it immediately, wait for the sales! With the same amount of money, you'll take home twice as many items you would have bought at full price!
