It's getting to that time of the year - when it's time to bare all and face the scrutiny of fellow beach goers. We’ve been totally covered for months so I’m sure we’ve all sclacked on all our body care. It's now time to get yourself in gear for the feared bikini test.

One Month To Go...

Exfoliate – when in the shower use a loofa to exfoliate top to toe. Concetrate on the most dry areas like feet, elbows and knees. Once out of the shower, dry yourself then apply a moisturiser. If you are going to use an anti-cellutite cream this is time to do it.

Two Weeks To Go...

Nails - manicures and pedicures should be the order of the day but we always slack in the winter. It's now time to start taking care of these areas. Especially your feet as it's the season for toe showing shoes. Apply a good foot cream at night before bed and put on some light cotton sock to avoid making a mess of your sheets.

One Week To Go ...

You do not want to turn up on the beach completely white so start applying a tinted moisturiser or exfoliated skin to start building up the colour. Remember to get an even colour you need to apply evenly and wash your hands right away or use a glove to avoid tanned plams.

A Few Days To Go..

Whether you choose to shave or wax you need to do this a couple of days before you hit the beach to avoid irritation.

Shaving – use warm water to help open pores, apply a shaving foam, then use a razor in long stroke going against the growth of your hair.
Waxing at home - exfoliate before waxing, use dry waxing strips and once done apply a post waxing oil to your legs to replenish your leg's moisture.

Beach Body Ready...


Just 24 hours before hitting the beach apply nail polish to hands and nails (yes they should match). Try out bright summer colours - they always look great in the sun.

Did I say moisturise? – Yes, you cannot get enough, moisturise your whole body, with a tinted moisturiser and you’re ready to go.
