It might seem as easy as boiling pasta, however cooking rice is more difficult as it is a vegetable and needs to be treated differently.  Here's how to get the best results.

1. Place rice in a bowl - one cup per person.

2. Add cold water to the bowl, stir until the water becomes milky, remove the water and rinse again.

3. Place the rice in a pot, add a cup and a half of cold water per cup of rice and stir.

4. Place on heat and bring to the boil. Lower the heat and let it simmer until all the water has been absorbed by the rice.
